WellWed Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard, & Nantucket introduces its Fall/Winter 2010 issue!

Nena grew up in Brewster, and had attended several weddings at The Old Sea Pines Inn. Each time she attended a wedding there she knew it was a simple, yet perfect location for her to walk down the aisle as a bride someday. The only thing she needed was a groom to meet her at the altar, but she didn't have to wait long.

This sweet garland would be the perfect decoration for a  DIY wedding, inside or out. The fun bright colors and different sizes and shapes will make any space more festive!

Materials:

This is enough to make at least a 40 foot garland!

-Lots and lots of scraps in at least 10 different patterns. This would be a great use of fat quarters and it's also a fun and effective way to whittle away at your stash! You can get at least 6 feet of garland for every 1/4 yard (or fat quarter) of fabric!

A candy apple bar brings a touch of old-fashioned charm to any reception. Think decadent caramel and delicious toppings like butterscotch chips, chopped nuts, and toasted coconut to top off the good times! If setting up a candy apple bar sounds a little too "labor intensive" - yet you want your guests to take home a "taste" of Fall - check out Hammond's Candies. Since 1920 they have been making tempting treats with true craftsman ship.

Brewster Anderson woke up one morning and decided he wanted to ask Kimberly Peterson to marry him. So, that morning, as Kimberly was about to leave their house for work, Brewster got down on one knee and proposed. Despite the impulsive act, Kimberly still had to get to work, and after an enthusiastic "yes" and a few joyful tears, she got in her car and left. "Our proposal was a little awkward and extremely hilarious, just like our relationship!" Kim says.

It was late summer in Edgartown and the evening was drawing to a close when Katie Kiddler and her sister Becky decided to stop at a local bar for a drink before taking the ferry back to their summer home on Chappaquiddick Island. As they settled into their seats and took in their surroundings, the sisters noticed a familiar face at the end of the bar. Thoroughly engrossed in a Red Sox game was "Happy on Chappy," a stranger they had nicknamed after years of seeing him on his way to and from the Chappaquiddick Ferry, consistently grinning and wearing only his bathing suit.

Doily

We just love the vintage classiness of these doily lanterns. Feminine and chic, you'll have as muuch fun making them as you will looking at them!

Nantucketphotobooth.jpg

Photo booths are becoming increasingly popular as each wedding season passes. Part guestbook, part guest activity, photo booths are known to "loosen up the crowd"-giving everyone a chance to get a little silly - or a little close - in the booth! Our readers like Nantucket Photo Booth, a company based in Nantucket which offers a fun alternative to the standard guestbook.
