The Michigan native came to Nantucket for a summer job and instantly fell in love with the tiny island's many charms. When she met her husband, Scott, on the island, Whelden's fate was sealed and Nantucket became her new home.
Though Whelden has an artistic background in photography and creative studies, it's her passion for Nantucket that makes her full-service event-planning business, Unique Nantucket Events, so successful.
Whelden puts her boundless energy to work planning memorable celebrations, injecting her own inimitable style into a couple's wedding-day vision. After just eight years in operation, Unique Nantucket Events has grown into one of Nantucket's premiere event-planning services, and Whelden is recognized around the island and beyond for her innovation and expertise.
