Hi! Thanks for the opportunity--this looks like it will be a terrific event. Our wedding will take place on June 20 of this year on Skaket Beach in Orleans, MA on the Cape. The location means a great deal to us. When we had been dating for a few months, my fiancé asked if I would like to take a trip to the Cape, to the place where he had spent his childhood summers. Having grown up in Southern California, I had never been to the Cape before. We were both athletes in college, and he only had about a day and a half off of practice before we had to be back on campus. So we hopped in the car on a Saturday morning in late May and drove to Orleans. I couldn’t understand why he was driving so fast and didn’t want to stop for anything on the way. If I remember correctly, he even got a ticket, but wouldn’t slow down. When he finally pulled off of Route 6 in Orleans, he told me that we weren’t going straight to his family’s house, and that he had something to show me. He drove directly to Skaket Beach, which is on the Bay side of the Cape with beautiful shallow tidal flats. Little did I know that he had timed our 8-hour drive from Ithaca, NY to Orleans to make sunset and low tide at Skaket. He had been anxious the entire ride that we would arrive moments too late. But it was perfect. We walked nearly a mile out into the tidal flats, bare-footed and holding hands. We watched the most memorable and stunning sunset I will ever see: the sun was a giant ball of crimson and orange fire as it sank slowly into the ocean in front of us. We were so far out in the tidal flats that I felt as though I was walking on the surface in the ocean and could reach out and touch the sun as it slipped into the water. We stood in silence. After the sun set, we talked as we walked and waded back to the beach. Now, over six years later, we are returning to the same place to be married. We want to share the beauty, peace and calm that we felt that night with all of the people we love. This was the first and only place we considered, and I am so glad to share it. Our reception will follow at the Captain Linnell House, a sea captain’s mansion built in the mid-1800s, walking distance down the road. Each place will share the sense of romance that we felt when he first took me there to visit years ago.

I love your magazine. I wish it came out more often. I'm really looking forward to your show. I know it will be fabulous. I'm hoping to get a lot of information from it.

Our wedding will be in the Hamptons in the fall of 2010. Long Island is home for the both of us and my fiance grew up spending summers in the Hamptons with his family so it has special significance for him. All of Long Island, especially the Hamptons has so much to offer and we can't imagine a better place to have our wedding!

I'm looking forward to the event on 2/21, meeting with the high end vendors and attending the workshops to help me plan my wedding. Also, Oheka Castle is a stunning location for this event!

Hello! Our wedding is happening overlooking the Gayhead Cliffs on Martha's Vineyard. As undergraduates in Providence, we would leave dorm life behind and escape to the Vineyard and once we got engaged, there was no doubt in our minds where we were getting married. We're hoping to share the beauty, simplicity and mellow pace of life that exists on the Vineyard with our loved ones. For special touches, we're providing homemade jam as favors (another tradition from our undergrad days), backdoor donuts and other local treats!

I got engaged on Martha's Vineyard, at the Romantic Sweet Life Cafe....it is definately one of my favorite restaurants of all time, and the memeories that we have of vacationing on the Vineyard, I knew that the VIneyard would be the perfect place for our wedding!!! I still have not decided on a venue, although I have a few in mind, I hope to be able to talk to some vendors regarding my wedding at the show....hoepfully I win the free tickets!!!! :)
