These DIY Rope Words are perfect for any occasion, even your wedding!  This project is super easy & are a perfect way to label seats at your reception, or expressing thanks in wedding photos!

What you'll need is: rope or jute, 4 oz. white school glue, 1/2 cup of cornstarch, 1/4 cup of warm water & some wax paper.

Step 1: Prepare your working area by laying down some wax paper & prepare to get a little messy!

Step 2: Choose a word you want to spell out in rope.  Keep in mind that the longer the word is, the more flimsy it will be once it has dried.  You may want to sketch out your word on your wax paper & then lay your rope over it.

Step 3: Mix the cornstarch, glue & warm water together in a mixing bowl until smooth.

Step 4: Begin feeding the rope into the glue mixture & allow the rope to become fully saturated.

Step 5: Now it's time to write out your word with the rope!  Push down hard in the areas where the rope overlaps.  You may find that you need to apply extra glue mixture to those areas to ensure it will hold once it dries!  Once you've finished, let it dry for twelve hours.  Now step back & admire your homespun love note!
