With springtime just around the corner, we have reached out to one of our favorite event planners, Desiree Spinner of Desiree Spinner Events in Oysterville, MA, for insight into incorporating blooming season into your wedding. Click {Read More} for some quick and easy tips on keeping your wedding as fresh and inspiring as a sweet springtime breeze.

What color palettes are particularly popular for this time of year?

I find that green is the most popular color in the spring color palette.  Sage and moss remind us that summer is on it's way and flowers are beginning to bloom.  A clean sage and white palette is perfect for a spring wedding.

What flowers and other plant life are naturally abundant in spring and how can they be incorporated into a bride's wedding?

Garden roses, tulips, peonies and daisies are gorgeous in the spring.

How can a bride accessorize herself to reflect the season?

For brides getting married in the spring, I would suggest accessorizing with color with a bold earring or head piece. You can't go wrong with a pair of unique and fun earrings from Anthropologie or a headpiece from Twigs and Honey.

What themes, decorations, and adornments are unique to spring and easy to incorporate into wedding décor?

Spring is all about an awaking to flowers popping through the ground and chirping baby birds. Incorporating delicate light-colored flowers is important. Feathers are a great accent item in a spring wedding, as well as branches with blooming flowers.  Lavender is also a great accent if you are incorporating greens and whites into the decor. Get crafty and tie a sprig of lavender at each place setting or as a garnish in a signature cocktail!
