Kari and Alex were married at the East Chop Beach Club in Martha’s Vineyard! Inspired by the charming feel of the seashore and beach club, Kari says, “We wrapped vases in jute and filled them with hydrangeas and lily grass. Then we filled wire bail mason jars with sand from the beach and labeled them with the date on our cocktail tables! The white paper lanterns and lights, candles, and assorted seashells completed the look.” We love the blue and white accents and the tasty homemade delights--Norwegian cake and cookies, and some to-die-for cupcakes--seen here by photographers at A Shared Vision Photography, who caught all the seriously sweet details.
“The best part of the day was climbing the lighthouse stairs together to take photographs before the ceremony. It overlooks the bluff and we were able to wave to everyone below!” says the couple. Kari and Alex deeply appreciate the help they had from their parents for making their wedding so incredibly special. “They all put in a lot of time to make this such an amazing day!” says Kari.
Kari’s tips for soon-to-be brides: Remember to keep it light and fun! In our ceremony introduction we had a moment where our siblings spoke and gave us advice to take with us through marriage.
