Favors

Does anyone have any fresh ideas for favors? I'd like to steer away from the traditional chocolates etc..
I recently attended the Wedding Affair show in Vermont.. They had a really cool pot pourri station.. there were apothecary vases filled with different dried flowers and spices and muslin bags. You selected some of the fillers, like rose buds, then you squeezed a couple of drops of the scented oil of your choice in to the bag. It looked really cool and was a nice touch!
I went to their event in Saratoga last year and they had a candy station.
I think having a "station" or "bar" of some kind where guest can select their own favors is great. This way they have some say in what they are taking away from your wedding - it is your day, but it's their gift!
when it comes to favors, it is exciting to get sweet treats like cookies and choclates. The sugar gives your guests a little kick of energy to continue dancing and chatting. Everyone loves sweets!
