Liv and Reid met in Boston and dated for a few years before Liv's career forced her to move out to Portland, Oregon. While keeping in touch, they soon realized they didn't like being so far apart and Liv decided to move back to Boston, and they were engaged a month after her return. Reid didn't have time to plan an elaborate proposal, because he was so excited the day he bought the ring, he popped the question immediately.

The couple decided on having the wedding at Nantucket, a place that would both be ideal for the event, as well as provide a vacation for them and their guests. It was a small wedding, with only ten people in the party, and they let everyone wear what they were most comfortable in. Liv decided to wear her grandmother's shawl. Zofia Waig took exceptional photos and the catering by The Summer House was terrific.

While it was sunny leading up to the wedding, clouds had crept in, but the pictures were actually enhanced by the change of lighting. With the small wedding, everything went smoothly and it was a very relaxed weekend. The large, green lawn helped provide a nice secluded feel and Liv's 1-year old niece was phenomenal as the flower girl. The night was capped off with the bride and groom drinking some cold beers in the hot tub.

The couple offers some advice to future brides and grooms. They suggest to drag the event out for as long as possible. They shared the week leading up to the wedding with friends and family and took advantage of that time to celebrate. Also, it's not completely necessary to have a cake. They opted for their favorite desserts, which added a nice personal touch.
